The Mail has three pics of the proposed new look for Birmingham New Street station, by the Spanish architect Alejandro Zaera-Polo.

For security reasons I can’t see cars being allowed to drive almost into the pedestrian entrance, as shown here — but the curvy roof looks like it has potential. Solar powered?

Fantastic roof but the video only seems to look at the concourse, which appears to be on current ground level. I’d be interested to see how they plan to revamp the rest of the station and crucially, the platforms and access to the platforms.
