Meanwhile, ideas for a future Birmingham are being gathered over at Created in Birmingham, following the recent Creative Republic meet. There’s still some confusion about how local creatives can contribute, and it seems that attendees are being limited to suggesting one idea? But I imagine that — if you don’t want to risk detailed or multiple ideas becoming dumbed-down while passing through in a chain of Council out-trays — it might also be useful to CC it directly to Urban Initiatives which is heading the consortium of consultants involved.

The ‘one idea’ thing is just a way to encourage more people to get involved – breaking it down to something bite-size because things are still at the idea-generation stage. People are welcome to throw in as many ideas as they like really.
