It looks like Google might be ready to bring Froogle, their shopping directory service, out of beta. Which means it should then open up to non-USA sellers. Their main Photography Prints page looks a little naff, perhaps “not really worth bothering with wresting with the data feed for”. But that changes when you make some interesting option combinations such as ‘rank by price, grid view thumbnails, show all items’, although everything seems to be from CatalogCity at present. Froogle makes no charge for sellers to get their sites spidered, so there’s no reason why Froogle can’t become an independent commission-free portal onto thousands of art photographers’ prints sites.
