Well, now I’m glad I didn’t trek all the way up to Scotland to see the Ansel Adams show in Edinburgh. Since The New Art Gallery Walsall has Ansel Adams: Photography, 27th June – 31st August 08…

“The set of images featured in this exhibition span his career from 1920’s to the 1970s, and reflect the place of Adams’ work in a tradition of American photographers of the sublime natural landscape. Hand-printed and selected by Adams during the last years of his life, they are the images by which he wanted to be remembered. Ansel Adams is organised by Modern Art Oxford. All works are from the collection of Anne Adams Helms.”

it’s a good ‘un – easily spent 2 hours absorbed in the Edinburgh show.
