And with equally squeaky timing comes news of another free photography event, this time at Wolverhampton’s Light House

“This month we’re going to be taking a look at music photography with a particular focus on the work of Mike Hale and his exhibition ‘Up Close and Personal’ featuring a host of familiar pop faces, including Amy Winehouse, Peter Doherty, Ian Brown, Kate Nash, amongst others. Music photography is a specialist area of photographic practice requiring particular skills and knowledge. Mike will be along in person to give a talk about his work and to explain how he gets up close to his subjects. Editor Gareth Main from Birmingham-based music magazine Bearded will also be speaking at this event on his views about music photography and how to get your photographs in print.”

Out of Hours: Music Photography.
Monday 31st March 08.
Light House, Wolverhampton.
7.30 – 9.30pm. Free
