“…process of creating a vision for a city centre, with special reference to the Highbury Initiative [ 25th-27th March 1988, the event which kick-started the redevelopment of Birmingham city centre ] … It will be of interest to those concerned with the design, the development, and the marketing of the modern city. As well as considering the changes in Birmingham, speakers from Sheffield, Manchester and Belfast will compare their cities’ experience of transformation over the same period. Speakers will include John Worthington (DEGW), Philip Singleton (Birmingham City Council), Lawrence Revill (David Lock Associates Ltd), Jon Rowland (Jon Rowland Urban Design), Nick Falk (Urbed).”
