The Trust is running an ‘Ancient Tree Hunting course‘ on 22nd May 08 at the University of Gloucester. And they’ve also just added an ‘old maps’ layer to their online recording maps

“to enhance the tree recording process. The 200 year old maps now enable you to see the shifts in boundaries of parks and estates over time and look for possible clues to the location of ancient trees that are still standing”

… each tree also now has its own blogging facility. Although, sadly, the blogging is not automated through strap-on sensors. Perhaps it should be.
