Emptying cities
Pingmag has a new page on the photographing of emptying cities. Another few decades of the population death-spiral in Europe, and I may be able to take a new type of photography tour circa 2037: The eerie “Empty Cities of Italy” tour, or the “Abandoned Avenues of Russia” and suchlike. Europe is set to loose 100 million people, which is the equivalent of about 100 cities the size of Birmingham.
