Marketing the Movies

Filed under: Birmingham, Creative industries, Photographers — site admin @ in the early evening

The University of Warwick, on the edge of Coventry, is staging a special one-day conference to look at Marketing the Movies: Advertising, Promotion and Film Studies, on 24th Feb 07.

Also of interest at Warwick, to photographers, is a public lecture on 27th Feb 07 (5pm, Graduate Space, 4th Floor Humanities). It’s given by Mick Gidley, Leeds University, and is about: ‘Imagining American Indians — and How Contemporary Native Photographers Are Revising the Tradition’. It seems to be part of a fab-sounding two-semester course at Warwick on the American West.
