A delegation of Birmingham MPs has meet with the BBC to lodge a protest over the last decade’s systematic and relentless removal of BBC radio and TV programme-making capacity from Birmingham. The last I heard (Nov 2011) all the city currently has left is Doctors, The Archers, and an Asian Network which had half its staff chopped in late 2011. One has to wonder, given the sudden and remarkable protests by MPs, if even these remaining shows are now to be threatened?
