Thor’s Cave:
This afternoon I took a pleasant cycling-trip with fellow artist Mark Wood, along the Manifold Trail in the Peak District National Park. Last week Mark bought a new Fuji S2 (£2,400! the best pro digital camera available, bought at the two-day digital photography expo at Stoke-on-Trent); but he wisely left it at home today. Because, as Mark rightly said, it was good cycling weather (cool, cloudy) but very bad photography weather (dull, overcast). I did manage one so-so photo during a single glimpse of sun. We had climbed 300 feet up to the giant Thor’s Cave, and were sitting at the entrance of the cave; looking out over the same sightlines which would have met the eyes of the people who inhabited the cave during the paleolithic dreamtime….

Darn it, we don’t have such views in Singapore
Even such so-so shots are such a sight for sore eyes, for a person like me..
